Air Charter Service predicts summer boom for private aviation

Privatejet | May 05, 2021 | Erica Bush Private jet operator Air Charter Service has said it expects to see a ‘boom’ in private jet travel bookings this summer.  The operator is forecasting a 20% year-on-year increase in new customer enquiries between June and August 2021, bringing the market back to 2019 levels.  The company said it had seen a surge in private demand directly after the UK’s first lockdown last year and recorded an 80% increase in new enquiries in March compared with February.  Booking figures for the same period only increased 22%, however, suggesting customers were making summer travel preparations without yet committing, the brand said.
