People are being invited to give a social media thank you to police officers and personnel during Police Week.
The Brantford police service is joining departments across the country in kicking off Police Week (#PoliceWeekON) from May 9 to 15.

Police Week celebrates the work of front-line police officers, 911 communicators and civilian staff. This year’s theme is Working Together to Keep Our Communities Safe, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Police Week was first observed in 1970 and coincides with the Peace Officers Memorial Day, which is recognized internationally on May 15.

The Thunder Bay Police Services Board s newest member is Roydon Thomas Pelletier, whose three-year term began March 4, 2021.

The Thunder Bay Police Services Board has a new member.
Roydon Thomas Pelletier has been appointed to a three-year term by Ontario s Ministry of the Solicitor General.
Pelletier s term officially began March 4.
He joins Michael Power, Georjann Morriseau, Thunder Bay Mayor Bill Mauro, and Thunder Bay City Councillor Kristen Oliver who also serves as chair on the board.
