Sault Area Hospital is remaining mum with regard to an earlier report that its president and CEO, Wendy Hansson, travelled during the current pandemic to visit her immediate family in British Columbia and attend prearranged medical appointments with clinicians with whom she has had âlong-standing relationships.â
SAH issued a statement last Sunday regarding Hanssonâs travels and, on Friday, Sault Ste. Marieâs principal health-care facility told the Sault Star both Hansson and the hospitalâs board of directors have decided not to entertain a number of follow-up questions from the Star after telling the newspaper mid-week they âmay be openâ to responding. The hospital also refused, at the time of the original release Sunday, to elaborate.
