In a news conference at Queen’s Park, Ontario Health Minister and Deputy Premier Christine Elliott provides an update on the province’s COVID-19 vaccination plan. She is joined by Ontario Solicitor General Sylvia Jones. The update comes as the province ramped up its rollout strategy this week and expanded vaccine eligibility for residents ages 18 and older in over 100 hotspot areas. By the week of May 24, the province expects to open up eligibility to all adults over the age of 18.

Ontario Premier Doug Ford provides an update at the BAPS Shri Swaminarayan Mandir in Etobicoke on the province’s COVID-19 vaccination plan. The temple will serve as a pop-up vaccine clinic over the next three weeks, starting April 14. Residents in the hot spot area who are 18 years of age and older will be eligible to receive a vaccine.
