Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Vice President Maryam Nawaz claimed on Thursday that a conspiracy was hatched to assassinate former prime minister Nawaz Sharif when he was incarcerated in prison.
Addressing an election rally in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, the PML-N leader greeted the crowd on the behest of her father – who is in London since 2019 for medical treatment. “The Baloch gave me the best welcome,” Maryam said, adding that she had the ‘Kashmiri blood’ running through her veins.
Taking on the incumbent government, the PML-N leader accused it of being ‘afraid of Nawaz Sharif’. She further said that Prime Minister Imran Khan’s morning starts with remembering her father while his day also ends with him [Nawaz] on his mind. MUZAFFARABAD: Federal Minister for Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan Affairs Ali Amin Gandapur has said the PPP founder Zulfikar Ali Bhutto had marginalised Kashmir issue as a dispute between the two countries, Pakistan and India, through the Simla agreement, while Prime Minister Imran Khan again made it an international issue.
Addressing an election rally of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) at Patika, some 50 kilometres of here, he said the resolution of Kashmir issue had become mandatory for the international community now in accordance with the aspirations of the people of Kashmir. Gandapur said Kashmiri people should vote for the PTI to strengthen Imran Khan, who was their ambassador and taking up their issue at all international forums bravely.
