OIC warns against dangerous effects of Israel s provocation of Palestinians

The Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) on Sunday strongly condemned barbaric Israeli attacks on Palestinians and warned about dangerous consequences of the deliberate inflammation of religious sensibilities and provocation of Palestinians and the Islamic Ummah.
A virtual meeting of the Ministerial Executive Committee of the OIC was held in which the forum adopted a resolution to discuss the aggression by Israel, the occupying power, in the Palestinian territories, in particular, Al-Quds Al-Shareef (East Jerusalem) .
In a statement following the meeting, OIC said that it had decided to renew its rejection and condemnation of the ongoing Israeli settlement, colonisation of, and establishment of apartheid system in the occupied Palestinian territories.

The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) condemns Israel’s actions against Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and on the West Bank and calls on the international community, primarily on the United Nations Security Council, to interfere in the conflict, as follows from a resolution passed by the OIC foreign ministers after an online conference on Sunday. Having reviewed the latest developments in the Occupied Palestinian Territories, including East Jerusalem, the OIC condemns in the strongest terms the barbaric attacks launched by Israel, the occupying authority, against the Palestinian people and their land and holy sites, the document reads.

Cycle of violence must end for Israelis and Palestinians alike
Mr President, the ongoing violence across Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories is deeply concerning and must stop.
This week has seen the worst violence Israel and the Occupied Palestinian Territories have experienced for several years. I repeat my Prime Minister’s call that both sides step back from the brink and show restraint. This cycle of violence must end.
