Adams County Health Dept Sets COVID-19 Vaccination Schedule
The Adams County Health Department Monday released its COVID-19 vaccination schedule for the coming weeks.
Officials say they will offer the Pfizer vaccine to any Illinois resident 16 or older by appointment only at the Health Department from 1 to 3 p.m. the next three Tuesdays – May 4th, 11th and 18th. You can register for one of these clinics by calling 217-222-8440.
Also, the health department has scheduled additional walk-in COVID vaccine clinics for the next two weeks.
The next walk-in clinics will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the John Wood Community College cafeteria, 11:45 a.m. in the Salvation Army Thrift Store and at 2 p.m. in the Hawks Nest at Quincy University.

The Adams County Health Department Monday announced that it would open up COVID vaccine registration to anyone who lives in the state of Illinois and is eligible for the vaccine under Phase 1B.
That would include anyone 65 or older, teachers and front line grocery workers.

There have now been 5,478 cases of coronavirus in Adams County since the beginning of the pandemic. That number includes 483 active cases, 49 hospitalized, age 20s to 90s, eight in intensive care and 56 deaths.
The seven-day positivity rate for cases as a percent of total tests rises to 6.09%.
Rapid COVID testing in Adams County continues at 3200 Broadway in Quincy from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 to 2 Sunday.
