On Monday, March 22, the state reported an additional 1,152 COVID-19 cases, totaling 506,376 for the entire pandemic, and zero additional deaths, totaling 6,782 for the entire pandemic. Outside of major holidays, Monday marked the first day since April 13, 2020 where the Minnesota Department of Health reported zero daily COVID-related deaths. Becker County reported 36 active COVID-19 cases on Monday, a decrease of 4 active cases since Friday.

Otter Tail County Public Health sponsored vaccine clinics the week of Feb. 1, are scheduled to administer a very small number of doses to remaining health care personnel, and second doses to those in Phase 1a who received their first doses of COVID-19 vaccine at public health clinics four weeks ago. In addition, a small supply of COVID-19 vaccine was allocated to public health and is to be used for schools and child care programs across the county. COVID-19 vaccine clinics for eligible populations continue to be done by invitation only. Otter Tail County Public Health does not currently have COVID-19 vaccine for those who are 65-plus.

Otter Tail County Public Health sponsored vaccine clinics were scheduled to continue to complete vaccination of priority 1A groups including health care personnel, assisted living and congregate care staff and residents the week of Jan. 25.
School and/or childcare staff were invited directly if the vaccine was identified as available. COVID-19 vaccine clinics for eligible populations continue to be done by invitation only, said a news release from Otter Tail County.
There continues to be a limited supply of COVID-19 vaccine in Otter Tail County and throughout Minnesota, and clinics are being held as the vaccine becomes available. Otter Tail County Public Health does not currently have a registration list for the public to receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
