NEW data has revealed the percentage of people from vulnerable groups in Sussex who have received their first dose of the coronavirus vaccine. The provisional figures from NHS England show the proportion of people aged 70-74, 75-79, and 80 and over who have had their first jab in each sub-regional area of England. South East London has the least percentage of over 80s vaccinated in England, according to the latest NHS stats. South East London has the slowest vaccination rate in the country, and has given jabs to the lowest percentage of over 80s for any region in England. London remains lagging behind the rest of the country with its vaccine rollout, but the most recent NHS figures show that the body covering south east London has the worst vaccination rate in the country for over 80s. The integrated care system, titled Our Healthier South East London , has so far vaccinated 36,651 of its 80+ population, just 60.4% as of January 24.
THE NHS has revealed how many more people have had the coronavirus vaccine in Herefordshire and Worcestershire – and the counties are still amongst the best in the country. A total of 109,196 doses of the Covid-19 jab have been given in the two counties as of Sunday (January 24), up by 30,256 from 78,940 the same day the week before Of these, 63,577 of those were as a first dose to people aged under 80, and 44,113 to the over-80s. This compares to 39,872 and 37,609 the week before. The NHS England figures also show 631 under-80s have had their second dose, along with 875 over-80s. It means 89.4 per cent of the over-80 population in the two counties have now been vaccinated, up from 76 per cent on January 21.
