Minister of Health Nguyen Thanh Long said that since secured financial sources are of critical importance for carrying out strategies to achieve the fastest and most widespread access to COVID-19 vaccines, financial support from enterprises is very much necessary. Describing the precious aid from businesses as an effective contribution to the fight against COVID-19, he called for continued assistance for the healthcare sector and the country as a whole in this regard.

Photo: Chi Tue / Tuoi Tre Authorities in Bac Ninh City, the capital of the namesake northern Vietnamese province, on Tuesday morning implemented a nighttime curfew and other travel restrictions by establishing 115 checkpoints to curb the rapid spread of the coronavirus. People in Bac Ninh City are banned from going outside after 8:00 pm.  Only workers performing official duties, sending people to emergency wards, going to night shifts, or returning home from work, with relevant papers such as cards and certifications proving their purposes are allowed to travel in the evenings.

Photo: Trung Anh / Tuoi Tre The Ministry of Health confirmed an all-time high of 444 domestic coronavirus infections in Vietnam on Tuesday, the vast majority recorded in a northern province home to industrial parks. This number broke the daily record set on May 16, when 187 domestic cases were reported, according to the health ministry’s data. Bac Giang Province, situated in northern Vietnam, registered 375 of the latest cases, most found at or linked to industrial parks. Twenty-eight infections were registered in Bac Ninh Province, which borders Bac Giang. Both provinces are industrial park hubs.
