The province s vaccination campaign continues in Quebec with what Health Minister Christian Dubé has dubbed Youth Week. People aged 30 to 34 are officially able to make an appointment to receive the first dose of their vaccine Monday, although many were able to register as early as Sunday. Article content It’s unclear when more Oxford-AstraZeneca shots will arrive but Ontario is expecting millions of Pfizer-BioNTech shots in the coming weeks. Biologist and science communicator Samantha Yammine says some Canadians who have already received the Oxford-AstraZeneca shot may be comforted to know they have the option of a different dose. She says the pandemic has given rise to an “infodemic,” with a flood of advice about areas like the low risk of blood clots from viral-vector shots compared with mRNA vaccines. Quebec citizens over 30 can book COVID-19 vaccination date today

Through April, the provincial government prioritized vaccinating priority groups of Quebecers. Health Minister Christian Dubé the government will “without a doubt”  meet its objective of having every adult who wants it be fully vaccinated by June 24. Dubé says 10 approved businesses and pharmacies have been able to ramp up vaccine administration by giving shots to employees, their families, and the population of the region. Dubé says that despite an optimistic vaccine rollout across the province, it’s “still too soon” to talk about loosening COVID-19 restrictions. On Sunday, the Ministère de la Santé et des Services sociaux announced the province’s seventh consecutive day of less than 1,000 new COVID-19 cases.
