Corona vaccination starts at Mayo Lahore February 4, 2021 LAHORE:Punjab formally started vaccination of frontline workers serving in Corona Wards under the supervision of Health Minister Dr Yasmin Rashid at Mayo Hospital here Wednesday. Present on the occasion were King Edward Medical University vice-chancellor Dr Khalid Masood Gondal, Pro-vice-chancellor and CEO Mayo Hospital Dr Asad Aslam Khan, Mayo Hospital Medical Superintendent Dr Zahid and a large number of doctors. She said the trials of the Covid-19 vaccine conducted with Covex had been completed and the final results were expected in three weeks. “The vaccine trials were conducted in partnership with the World Health Organisation and Gavi. Now, the results are being reviewed in Canada,” the minister said while talking to media after she visited the Rawalpindi Institute of Urology on Thursday.
