While vaccines continue to roll out across Saskatchewan, those who remain unvaccinated are making up the bulk of recent COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations.
In May, a total of 5,296 COVID-19 cases were reported. Of these, nearly 92 per cent were in people who were either unvaccinated or who had received their first dose less than three weeks earlier, Dr. Saqib Shahab, the province’s chief medical health officer, told reporters during a Tuesday news conference.
