Four months on from the death of his bubbly and intelligent seven-year-old daughter Aishwarya, Aswath Chavittupara is no longer a broken man.
At their family home where he lives with his wife Prasitha Sasidharan and their three other children in Morley, the lime green walls are dotted with photo frames containing cherished memories of their smiling girl.

His demeanour is a world apart from the father shaking and barely able to form words as he desperately called for answers over why his daughter died on the Easter long weekend in what had been repeatedly called a “world-class” healthcare system by the West Australian government.

The McGowan Government has announced the $6.81 million tender for redeveloping Dongara Health Centre to be delivered by WA-based company, Devlyn Australia Pty Ltd.
The design will upgrade existing facilities and allow for improved patient flow. The redevelopment includes:
a contemporary emergency department;
group therapy rooms;
a new ambulance bay;

Following updated health advice related to the COVID-19 outbreak in South Australia, the Western Australian hard border with South Australia will return to reduce the risk of the virus coming into the WA community.
South Australia will now transition from a ‘low risk’ State to a ‘medium risk’ State under our controlled interstate border, effective from midday today (12pm July 22, 2021).

WA set to give one millionth dose of COVID-19 vaccine
WA’s vaccination program is expanding its capacity to allow more eligible Western Australians to roll up their sleeves and receive a COVID-19 vaccination.
In line with the increased supply WA will be receiving from the Commonwealth, new clinics will be established, more capacity is being built into current State-run community clinics and, as a result, 10,000 more bookings a week will be added on Roll Up For WA website.
