Maldives Covid-19 tally has surpassed 21,000.
According to latest statistics publicized by the Health Protection Agency (HPA), a total of 115 new coronavirus infections were confirmed by sundown on Tuesday.
Out of the over 100 new infections, 98 were detected in the Greater Malé Region, whereas 12 were discovered from operational resorts and the remaining five from residential islands.
The new cases were confirmed out of the 3,877 samples collected for testing from 6pm Monday to 6pm Tuesday.
With this development, Maldives Covid-19 case count currently sits at 21,034.
Further, HPA reported 175 recoveries from the virus on Sunday, which means that a total of 18,428 patients have recovered from the pandemic in the island nation since the pandemic surfaced in the country over a year ago on March 7.

The total number of vaccination doses administered under the government’s national Covid-19 inoculation programme has surpassed 165,000.

According to the latest Covid-19 vaccination updates publicized by the Health Protection Agency (HPA), Sunday’s vaccinations include 4,083 across eight vaccination centers and two mobile teams in the Greater Malé Region as well as 3,779 in 169 vaccination centers across atolls.
With this, the total number of vaccinations administered across Maldives currently sits at 165,675. The total inoculation count includes 95,362 across the capital region and 70,313 residents administered their Covishield doses across atolls nationwide.

Latest statistics publicized by the Health Protection Agency (HPA), reveal that 135 out of the 167 new coronavirus infections were detected in the Greater Malé Region, whereas 17 cases were discovered across residential islands and 15 from operational resorts.
These cases were confirmed out of the 4,089 samples tested within the last 24 hours.
With this development, the country’s total active infections has been pushed to 2,664.
Maldives Covid-19 tally currently sits at 20,447.
Further, with an additional 117 recoveries reported across the island nation, public health authorities revealed that the country has so far observed a total of 17,712 Covid-19 patients to have made full recoveries.
