PHCC celebrates receiving Diamond level accreditation

The Primary Health Care Corporation (PHCC) team yesterday celebrated receiving the Diamond level accreditation and first in the world, People Centred Care Commitment award by Accreditation Canada.
An online virtual ceremony was attended by Minister of Public Health H E Dr. Hanan Al Kuwari and Dr. Mariam Abdul Malik, Managing Director of PHCC with senior leadership from both PHCC and Accreditation Canada team.
The People Centred Care award distinguishes corporations that demonstrate quality and excellence in the design and delivery of patient centred health care, with PHCC being the first recipient of the People-Centred Care (PCC) Commitment Award internationally.

Doha: A study carried out by investigators and collaborators from Qatar’s healthcare system and research institutes has found that COVID-19 vaccination in Qatar is highly effective at preventing severe illness due to infection from COVID-19 variants from the United Kingdom and South Africa.
The research study, which has been published in the New England Journal of Medicine, the most prestigious medical journal in the world, analyzed a wide range of clinical data from February 1 to March 31, 2021 compiled in the national COVID-19 databases at Hamad Medical Corporation, including vaccination data, antibody and PCR test results, COVID-19 hospitalizations, and infection severity data.

QP tops LinkedIn’s ‘10 best workplaces in Qatar for 2021’ list

Doha: Qatar Petroleum (QP) has topped the inaugural list of 2021 LinkedIn Top Companies in Qatar, which ranks the 10 best workplaces to grow one’s career in the country, according to the world’s largest professional networking platform’s methodology.
