Few attractions at Disneyland are as iconic as the Haunted Mansion. While the New Orleans Square location wasn t there when Disneyland opened, it was part of the park s first major expansion, and the Mansion is a favorite attraction of many, including us here at CinemaBlend. 2020 was going to be a year where we didn t see much of the Mansion even before the park itself had to close, as it went down for a major refurbishment at the beginning of the year. When Disneyland Resort reopens April 30, guests will see a literal fresh coat of paint on the over 50-year-old ride, as well as numerous updates and additions inside the ride as well.
When Disneyland announced its April 30 reopening last month, it promised some "new magic" coming to the Haunted Mansion. Today, the park revealed just what that new magic will be.

As its reopening approaches on April 30, details about how to get Disneyland tickets and how to make theme park reservations are slowly starting to come together. We now know when park tickets will go on sale, and what rides will and won’t be operational on opening day. And now that Orange County has moved to the orange tier and California Gov. Gavin Newsom has announced when the tier system could be ending altogether we know a lot more about what Disneyland’s reopening will look like. In short: In some ways there will be more than expected (but given that the Matterhorn will be closed, in some ways, less).

Disneyland is set to reopen at the end of April after California issued new guidance on theme parks in March. It comes after Disneyland closed its gates more than a year ago due to the rapid spread of COVID-19. For the first time in its 65-year history, the iconic California theme park initially shut down for a month on March 12 and has remained closed since.
