The French Quarter Museum Association invites visitors to celebrate moms and local business from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, May 9, at the Mother’s Day Market. Featuring a host of local vendors at four separate sites, the market will display a range of activities, foods and performances.
For those with an additional taste for history, the Historic New Orleans Collection (HNOC) has invited furniture maker Greg Arceneaux to speak from 1 to 3 p.m. on constructing furniture as it relates to one of HNOC’s current exhibitions, “Pieces of History: Ten Years of Decorative Arts Fieldwork.” Though admission to the museum is free of charge, guests are encouraged to reserve advance tickets.
