Chief Deputy Scott Moye said: All indications point to this being a stranger abduction, and Noah being chosen by Fridley at random
Fridley is also said to have been in the area of two other churches in the weeks before the kidnapping and on the day Noah went missing

A man and woman were arrested Monday in the abduction of Noah Gabriel Trout more than 24 hours after the 2-year-old was snatched from a church nursery around 70 miles from the mobile home park where he was found safe, according to law enforcement.

GILES COUNTY, Va. The woman accused of abducting 2-year-old Noah Trout from a Virginia church nursery apparently picked the child at random and also cased at least two other area churches the morning of the crime, Giles County investigators said Wednesday.

Giles County authorities are asking the public to be on the lookout for a 2-year-old boy who was reportedly abducted from a church in Ripplemead on Sunday.
The county Sheriffâs Office said Noah Gabriel Trout was taken from a nursery at Riverview Baptist Church by an unidentified woman sometime in the afternoon. Virginia State Police issued an Amber Alert and said the boy is believed to be in âextreme danger.â
The woman left in a dark-colored van or SUV from the church in the 200 block of Big Stony Creek Road, according to the sheriffâs office. Authorities did not have any information about who the suspect may be.

The woman charged in connection with his abduction, Nancy Fridley, was a complete stranger to Noah Trout and the entire Trout family and he was chosen by her at random, according to the Giles County Sheriff’s Office.
“This was a calculated attempt the random was a calculated attempt to pull off one of these acts, and she had been in the area for a couple of weeks, I think that that shows some dedication,” Giles County Chief Deputy Scott Moye said.
