Tradies on their way to Macquarie Island to renovate Australian scientific base

The base is usually home to around 20 scientists and researchers but is host to a range of occupational health and safety issues and environmental contamination. REVELATIONS that Australia s new $1.9bn icebreaker may not be able to pass under the Tasman Bridge in order to refuel at Hobart s major maritime terminal have been labelled as gobsmacking by a state MP.
