The 2021 Diversity Showcase now has an Open Casting Call.
This September the Equity Foundation, with major support from Screen Australia, the Australian Directors’ Guild and Australian Writers’ Guild, will host the second Screen Diversity Showcase in Sydney.
The Showcase will bring together five writers, five directors and ten performers from diverse backgrounds. The selected creatives will collaborate on five distinct projects, all to be filmed as five-minute proof of concepts.
The Diversity Showcase is open to members and non-members. Applications have been extended until 4th June.

Screen Australia and Australians in Film (AiF) today announced the Talent Gateway program and the Global Producers Exchange, two joint initiatives for established Australian creatives to expand on their skills and connect with key US decision makers, as well as help position Australian projects for success in an increasingly global market.
Supporting Partners for these industry development programs are Screen NSW, Film Victoria, South Australian Film Corporation and Scripted Ink. Industry Partners are Australian Directors’ Guild, Australian Writers’ Guild, Screen Producers Australia, Screen Canberra, Screen Queensland, Screen Tasmania, Screen Territory, Screenwest and Screenworks.

The Australian Directors’ Guild will mark its 40th year in 2021 with an expanded calendar of member events, workshops and awards.
Alaric McAusland, the ADG’s Executive Director, said: “After a year we’d much rather forget, our members are crying out to connect with each other to share their stories and celebrate our craft. A particular focus for us in this our anniversary year is new initiatives to inspire and develop our emerging members by connecting them with our celebrated established members.”
