US Supports Australia’s Move to Cancel Belt and Road
U.S. State Department spokesperson Ned Price said the United States supports Australia’s decision to cancel two Belt and Road Initiative arrangements with Beijing.
“We continue to stand with the people of Australia as they bear the brunt of the PRC’s coercive behavior,” Price said. “The Australian government had determined that the agreements … to be inconsistent with Australia’s foreign policy or adverse to Australia’s foreign relations.”
In total, Australia’s federal government cancelled four arrangements between the Victorian state government and foreign powers, including Iran, Syria, and China.

A legal nonprofit headed by a former top immigration adviser to ex-President Donald Trump is helping the state of Texas in its recently filed lawsuit against the Biden administration.
Stephen Miller’s America First Legal, which was just launched, is acting as outside counsel for Republican Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton as he seeks to convince a judge to block Biden’s immigration-related executive orders for alleged violation of federal law by releasing illegal immigrants into the country without testing them for COVID-19.
The Biden administration set an “illegal policy of mass releasing COVID-positive illegal immigrants during a pandemic,” Miller said on Fox News’s “Hannity” on Friday.
