The Northwestern Health Unit is reporting five new positive cases of COVID-19 today.
Unlike previous days the Tuesday case count is spread out across the region.
There are two cases in the Sioux Lookout region, one in Dryden/Red Lake, one in the District of Rainy River and one in the Kenora area.
There is also a probable case in the Kenora region.
There are now 74 active and 8 probable cases.
Sixty-six are in the Kenora area, four in the Sioux Lookout district and two each in Dryden/Red Lake and the Rainy River areas.
The test positivity rate from February 1-7 was 3.24% and it currently stands at 0.53% since the start of the pandemic.
Forty-five new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed in the Thunder Bay district on the weekend. The Thunder Bay District Health Unit (TBDHU) said 39 of those were due to close contact, while two have no known exposure, and four are still under investigation.
