COLQUITT COUNTY, Ga. (WTXL) â The Colquitt County School System announced Wednesday that they will be pausing in-person learning for all students in the district for six school days beginning Friday.
The school district said in a Facebook post that they are facing a severe staffing shortage due to the number of quarantined staff.
âOur staff and substitute reserves are depleted due to the number of employees quarantined. Student and staff safety is of the utmost importance, said Superintendent Doug Howell. The decision to pause instruction will give the system a full ten days without contact in hopes of lessening the quarantine numbers we are currently experiencing.
