Code Orange air quality issued for central Pa. PennLive.com 12/20/2020 © December 16, 2020 Sean Simmers |ssimmers@pennlive.com/pennlive.com/TNS Snow storm hits Harrisburg region Cumberland, Dauphin, Lebanon, York, and Lancaster counties, as well as Berks, Lehigh, and Northampton counties are included in a Code Orange Air Quality Action Day. On Action Day, young children, the elderly, and those with respiratory programs like asthma, emphysema, and bronchitis, are more vulnerable to air pollution, according to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection. Anyone in one of the groups is encouraged to limit outdoor activities. The action day is Dec. 20. Orange has been issued because of recent weather patterns.
