India s 42nd communications satellite will launch today – New Delhi Times

December 17, 2020 Share The launch of India’s 42nd communications satellite by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) will be ready by03:41 pm after the completion of the fuelling process. This will be Isro’s  second launch during the Covid-19 pandemic India’s workhorse Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) in its 52nd flight will put in orbit as the 42nd communications satellite which is going to coverthe entire country for disaster management and satellite internet connection. The satellite is named as CMS-01 and it will be the first in a new series of communication satellites by India after the INSAT and the GSAT series. This will replace the current GSAT-12 in the orbit, which was launched in 2011.
