BMC issues tender for five fire bikes

The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) issued a tender notice this month to procure five fire bikes or bikes modified to a firefighting vehicle, that carry up to 40 litres of water and other firefighting equipment.
The fire- bike concept was introduced after the 2016 Kalbadevi fire to navigate congested areas and reduce response time. The fire department also held a demonstration in 2016 of one such modified bike at the Byculla command centre, where a Royal Enfield Himalayan 410CC bike was modified to a firefighting vehicle.
Devshali, 47, joined the party when he was 19. He has been the leader of Uttarakhand population.
Mahesh Inder Sidhu, when contacted, said, “It will be the party’s decision. Whoever party decides will be the mayor this year.”
Sidhu, 37, is a law graduate.
Sidhu and Dhillon both are Jat Sikhs and as Punjab will go to polls in early 2022, they are putting this fact before the high command in order to have an edge over others.
Sources said that these councillors are putting forth the fact that this time mayor’s face should be a new one and not someone who has already been the mayor.

PANCHKULA’S DECISION was sealed on Sunday, with an average of 54 per cent voter turnout recorded in the high-stakes Panchkula Municipal Corporation election. More than one lakh people out of a total 1.8 lakh voters exercised their right to choose the councillors and mayor in the first direct elections.

In solidarity with the farmers protesting against the three Agriculture laws, city residents took to the streets on Sunday and held a protest at Phase 3B-2 market in SAS Nagar.
The protesting city residents said that they extend their support to the farmers who have been protesting for the last one month against the controversial laws. “The union government must repeal the laws with immediate effect. Former minister Vakiti Sunitha Lakshma Reddy was appointed as chairperson of the Telangana state women’s commission, nearly two and a half years after the post fell vacant. The women’s commission also got six new members who will hold office till 2025.
