Senate body orders action over Aitzaz’s fake social media accounts

ISLAMABAD: The Senate Committee on Interior Friday directed the FIA to launch a crackdown on those running fake social media accounts of PPP leader Aitzaz Ahsan and provide details of the accused in the next meeting on Monday.
The Senate committee also directed the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) to brief it in the next meeting. The meeting was chaired of its chairman, Senator Abdul Rehman Malik, and attended by Senator Muhammad Javed Abbasi and Senator Shahzad Waseem as member and former Senator Aitzaz Ahsan as a special invitee. The secretary interior, senior officers from the Ministry for Interior, PTA, FIA and others also attended.

The Literary, Dramatics and Debating societies of University of Engineering and Technology (UET) Lahore organised an event on Friday titled ‘Sada-e-Kashmir (Voice of Kashmir)’ to express solidarity with Kashmiris suffering at the hands of Indian military in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The event was attended by a large number of UET students while observing Covid-19 precautionary measures.
Sada-e-Kashmir was comprised of various modules including English and Urdu poetry, essay writing and declamation contests.
On the occasion, a Kashmiri student sang a song to the audience on the plight of the IIOJK populace while a stage drama was also presented before the audience titled ‘Curfew’.

The United States has clarified that there is no change in its policy on Kashmir as the Biden administration still considers the territory disputed after Pakistan conveyed concerns to Washington over the State Department’s tweet not mentioning Kashmir as a disputed territory. I want to be very clear there has been no change in US policy in the region, said State Department Spokesperson Ned Price when he was asked regarding an earlier tweet by the department welcoming restoration of 4G services in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir ((IIOJK). The tweet did not mention the region s disputed status.

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Thursday once again reached out to India, saying that it wanted to live in peace with it, as South Asia has suffered and it was certainly time to move on to sustainable relations.
