Pakistan observes Kashmir Solidarity Day today

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistani nation is observing the Kashmir Solidarity Day on Friday (February 5), reiterating its wholehearted support to the just struggle of Kashmiri people for their inalienable right to self-determination under the United Nations resolutions, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.
The Kashmir Solidarity Day has now sealed even more significance by the fact that India revoked the special status of Occupied Kashmir in August 2019 in breach of all international laws, and since then the entire population of the held territory has been under lockdown.
Human chains are being formed at Kohala, Mangla, Holar, and Azad Pattan points linking Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. Likewise, rallies, public meetings, and seminars are being held across the country including Azad Kashmir to draw the attention of the World Community towards grave human rights violations and brutalities against innocent

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, General Nadeem Raza, called on President Dr. Arif Alvi at Aiwan-e-Sadr here on Thursday (today).
Both discussed regional and national security situation and matters related to Indian brutalities in Kashmir.
Earlier Foreign Office Spokesperson Zahid Hafeez Chaudhry said that the BJP regime in India has issued more than three million fake domiciles to non-Kashmiris to change demography in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir.
Addressing the weekly news briefing in Islamabad today (Thursday), he said besides killings and tortures, thousands of innocent Kashmiris are being kept in illegal detention to suppress the freedom struggle.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI) President Mian Nasser Hyatt Maggo Thursday said the business community of Pakistan reiterated its untiring moral and diplomatic support to the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) in their struggle for right to self-determination, in accordance with the United Nations Security Council resolutions.
It is a matter of grave concern that Indian occupation forces were resorting to state terrorism, war crimes and intensified human rights violations to suppress the just struggle of the Kashmiri people, Maggo said in a message issued in connection with Kashmir Solidarity Day to be observed on Friday.

As farmers’ protest in India made international headlines after many celebrities, including an American singer showed solidarity with the campaign, Pakistan on Thursday voiced concerns over “increasing intolerance and rapidly shrinking space for any dissent” in the neighbouring country.
“The treatment of minorities, increasing intolerance, and rapidly shrinking space for any dissent in India is a matter of serious concern not only for the Indian minorities and the neighbouring countries but also for the international community,” said the Foreign Office spokesperson here at the weekly news briefing.
