File photo Star Digital Report Star Digital Report Police in Chattogram on Thursday filed two cases against Hefajat-e-Islam s Chief and current Convener of the new committee Junayed Babunagari in connection with the recent violence in Hathazari upazila of Chattogram during the recent visit of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Bangladesh. Police filed the cases accusing Babunagari and other top Hefajat, BNP and Jamaat leaders at the Hathazari Police Station according to police sources, reports our Chattogram correspondent. The news of the cases became public today. When asked about the delay in filing of the cases, Chattogram Superintendent of Police SM Rashidul Haque told The Daily Star, Police have taken time to verify the identity and addresses of the accused and later filed the cases.
