Two Dead, Two Injured In Downtown Hotel Shooting

UPDATE | May 24, 2021 10:30 a.m. In an update provided shortly before 10:30 a.m., Indy Metro Police said there are only three confirmed people shot in this incident. Two male victims were pronounced dead and a female victim is listed in serious condition. Detectives say a fourth person, believed to possibly have been grazed by a bullet, had been taken to the hospital before police arrived at the hotel where the shooting happened. Detectives have since determined that the person’s injuries were likely from falling and not from a gunshot wound. Police have identified the person and will follow up with him as part of their investigation.

Shots were fired in front of the hotel, a police report indicates, and two men were killed. Another man and a woman were seriously injured in the shooting and were taken to a hospital, according to police. No suspects have been taken into custody in the incident.
