Indiana sees COVID-19 cases climb by 1,191, deaths by 5

The Indiana State Department of Health on Saturday reported 1,191 new COVID-19 cases, the fourth day in a row that the daily case count has exceeded 1,000.
The seven-day moving average of positive cases in Indiana rose from 1,089 on Thursday to 1,099 on Friday up from 985 on April 1.
The state reported five new deaths from COVID-19, raising the cumulative total to 12,926.
Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 dipped from 920 on Thursday to 908 on Friday. Hospitalizations are up 30.3% since April 1. The all-time high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.
The health department reported the testing of 6,144 new individuals.
The state said more than 1.73 million Hoosiers had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Sunday. More than 2.28 million had received the first dose of a two-dose vaccination.

The Indiana State Department of Health on Wednesday reported 1,250 new COVID-19 cases, the highest daily count since April 17. Cases have topped 1,000 in 13 of the past 16 daily reports.
The seven-day moving average of positive cases in Indiana dipped from 1,247 on Tuesday to 1,226 on Wednesday, but was up from 985 on April 1.
The state reported four new deaths from COVID-19, increasing the cumulative total to 12,844.
Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 rose from 836 on Tuesday to 848 on Wednesday. The all-time high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.
The health department reported the testing of 6,118 new individuals.

The Indiana State Department of Health on Sunday reported 1,041 new COVID-19 cases. New reported cases have topped 1,000 in 11 of the past 12 days.
The seven-day moving average of positive cases in Indiana was 1,313 on Saturday, up from 985 on April 1.
The state reported seven new deaths from COVID-19, increasing the cumulative total 12,815.
Statewide hospitalizations due to COVID-19 decreased from 861 on Friday to 829 on Saturday. The all-time high mark was 3,460, set on Nov. 30.
The health department reported the testing of 5,557 new individuals.
The state said more than 1.56 million Hoosiers had been fully vaccinated against COVID-19 as of Sunday at 5 a.m. More than 2.16 million had received the first dose of a two-dose vaccination.
