Umang Bedi, the India Managing Director of social networking giant Facebook, has resigned from the role, just over a year after he joined the company. Facebook India, in a statement, confirmed the development, saying, Umang Bedi will be leaving his role atFacebook at the end of this year . He has built a really strong team and business during his time with us, and we wish him all the best, it added. Facebook has named Sandeep Bhushan - who currently serves as Director - Consumer and Media (South Asia) as the interimmanaging director.

New Delhi: Hurun India Wealth Report 2020 released Tuesday has identified that India is home to 4.12-lakh dollar-millionaire households and Mumbai tops the chart followed by New Delhi, while real estate and stock markets continue to be their preferred choice of investments.
According to Hurun, there are 412,000 dollar-millionaire households / affluent households in India with a networth of at least Rs 7 crore. Hurun Rich Listers have a wealth of Rs 1,000 crore, the report says, and pegs the number of such cumulative households in India at 3,000.

Reliance Industries Ltd (RIL) Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani is the richest Indian and the eighth richest man in the world with a networth of ₹6.06-lakh crore ($83 billion). However, Asia’s richest man tag goes to Chinese bottled-water company Nongfu Spring Chairman Zhong Shanshan ($85 billion).
With a networth of ₹34,800 crore Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, chairperson and managing director of Bengaluru-based Biocon, is the richest Indian woman, according to Hurun Global Rich List 2021.
