The streaming giant announced on Tuesday that Prince Harry and Meghan, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, have produced their first Netflix project: a documentary series tracking a number of athletes as they train for the 2022 Invictus Games.
Developed by the Sussexes’ Archewell Productions in partnership with the Invictus Games Foundation, ‘Heart of Invictus’ will explore the personal lives of its star competitors, all service members who have sustained various injuries and illnesses. Back in September, it was announced that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had signed a deal with Netflix worth over £100 million. And now, the pair have confirmed their very first project with the streaming service, and it s on a topic very close to Harry s heart.
The couple will produce
Heart of Invictus, a documentary series about the Invictus Games, a multi-sport event for the wounded, injured or sick armed forces personnel, which Harry set up after himself leaving the armed forces.

LOS ANGELES, April 7, 2021 (BSS/AFP) – Prince Harry will produce a documentary about the Invictus Games for disabled military veterans the first series under a lucrative deal he and wife Meghan Markle signed with Netflix after moving to California last year.
Harry, who served with the British military in Afghanistan, will appear on camera and executive-produce “Heart of Invictus,” a multi-episode series which follows competitors as they train for next spring’s competition in The Hague.
“This series will give communities around the world a window into the moving and uplifting stories of these competitors on their path to the Netherlands next year,” said Harry in a statement.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have announced their first Netflix show featuring the Duke of Sussex, around seven months after they confirmed their multi-million dollar deal with the streaming giant.
The programme by the couple s Archewell Productions will be a documentary series about the Invictus Games, an international sporting event for wounded, injured and sick servicemen and women, both serving and veterans, founded by Prince Harry in 2014. The Duke of Sussex will serve as an executive producer on the show, titled Heart of Invictus, and will appear on camera. The show follows competitors around the world as they train for the sporting event which has been postponed twice due to the coronavirus pandemic.
