Gov t must support primary health facilities to fight COVID-19 LISTEN FEB 5, 2021 Alliance for Reproductive Health Rights (ARHR) has called on government to ensure adequate availability of medicines and other logistics required for the management of COVID-19 cases at the Primary Health Care level. The Alliance, in a press statement, said the call was necessitated by the many complaints about the inadequate facilities for testing and diagnosing of coronavirus. It said some members of the public, who had had recent contacts with the COVID-19 healthcare response systems set up by the government, had complained about the high cost of COVID-19 case management medicines.

Most people know what HIV refers to, yet they do not know what exactly SRHR does. It is the term which reveals several issues which have been affecting both men and women for years, like HIV. It has four fundamental rights, such as sexual health, sexual rights, reproductive health, and reproductive rights.

Nuffic has launched a call for grant proposals for the Sexual and Reproductive Health & Rights to increasing quality SRHR services by improved skills training in SRHR at community level. The proposed project must contribute to universal access to sexual and reproductive health and rights (SDG 3 and 5). Elements The proposed project should also focus on and include the following elements: The call specifically focuses on increasing skills in SRHR, therefore training to future health practitioners in SRHR will be particularly encouraged; In fragile and/or conflict-affected settings, the project needs to address Sexual and Gender Based Violence; The deployment of local expertise and south-to-south cooperation is strongly encouraged;

The measure, the NHIA said formed part of the efforts put in place to increase membership drive as well as implement policies and reforms that would provide affordable and accessible health care services for all. Currently, the NHIA membership stands at 13 million; Dr. Lydia Dsane-Selby, Chief Executive Officer, NHIA said this in a speech read on her behalf at a Colloquium held in Accra in commemoration of World UHC Coverage Day.
