Don’t get me wrong, they’re great if cleaning the meat off a rack of ribs is your love language. But we’ve rounded up some fancier ways to spend your Valentine’s Day. Without further ado, here are some meaningful ways to celebrate love this year from the comfort of home.

On Thursday, Feb. 11, WIM Fox Valley welcomes Kathleen Caldwell, CEO of Caldwell Consulting Group LLC, who will present how to activate your success (and love) in 2021.

At a time when restaurants say they need help the most, Explore Elgin Area is bringing back restaurant week after a two-year hiatus.
This year s edition, which will start Monday, Feb. 1, and runs through Feb. 12, will have a takeout theme.
Krisilee Murphy, executive director of Explore Elgin Area, said the event used to be held in March. But after talking with multiple restaurants, they all said, We really need help in February, Murphy said.
With the uncertain pandemic landscape making planning dine-in promotions a dicey proposition, Murphy said, event organizers wanted to augment whatever restaurants may be getting when they are allowed to open dining rooms.
