The Portland Police Bureau is releasing details related to the police involved shooting of 46-year-old Robert Douglas Delgado on April 16, 2021. This information is intended to provide the community with an update, but is not an exhaustive list of all information available or that may be available in this case.
This is an ongoing investigation. PPB works hard to be as transparent to the community and provide information as quickly as possible while trying to maintain the integrity of the investigation.
At approximately 9:28 a.m., on April 16, 2021, Portland Police officers were dispatched to Lents Park. A community member called the Bureau of Emergency Communication (BOEC) to report a man, later identified as Mr. Delgado, in Lents Park quick drawing and holding what looked like a handgun.

PASCAGOULA, Miss., April 19, 2021 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE:HII) announced today that its Ingalls Shipbuilding division has received a fourth contract modification from the U.S. Navy for $107 million to provide long-lead-time material and advance procurement activities for amphibious assault ship LHA 9. This modification brings the total advance funding for LHA 9 to $457 million.
“The amphibious warship production line is a critical component of our nation’s defense industrial base,” Ingalls Shipbuilding President Kari Wilkinson said. “This funding will strengthen our suppliers and sustain jobs across the country in support of LHA 9 construction.”
Ingalls is the sole builder of large-deck amphibious ships for the Navy. The shipyard delivered its first amphibious assault ship, the

The manuscript describes results from Study 201, a Phase 2b proof-of-concept study that explored the impact of treatment with lecanemab on reducing brain amyloid beta (Aβ) and clinical decline in patients with early Alzheimer s disease. The manuscript concluded that the analysis showed consistent reduction of clinical decline across several clinical and biomarker endpoints at the highest doses, which the pivotal Phase 3 study Clarity AD aims to confirm.
