(WIS) - The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) announced 641 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 and seven confirmed deaths Monday, April 5. This information is accurate as of April 2. Today’s report brings the total number of people with confirmed cases since the outbreak began to 467,750 and confirmed deaths remain at 8,111. Two of the confirmed deaths happened in mid-March. Please whose death was reported. DHEC also announced 345 new probable cases of the virus and one new probable death. That brings the total of probable cases to 88,719 and the total number of probable deaths at 1,092 in the state since the outbreak began.

Two Arrested After Armed Robbery in Thickwood, Police Searching For Third Suspect

By Jaryn Vecchio Two people are being charged for allegedly taking part in an armed robbery in Thickwood. On March 31, Wood Buffalo RCMP were called to a business near the intersection of Signal Road and Thickwood Drive after multiple individuals entered and demanded money. A weapon was reportedly used with two employees receiving minor injuries that didn’t require any medical attention. The individuals ended up leaving in a vehicle with an undisclosed amount of money. Shortly after, the Mounties were able to locate two individuals with help from police dog services. They ended up arresting 39-year-old Jaclyn Louise Johnsen, from Leduc, and 27-year-old Edmonton resident Alfred Richard Kamara.
