Donald Trump can no longer have an account again with Facebook after getting permanently banned by Facebook
EX-president of the United States, Donald Trump has been permanently banned from Facebook after his posts about the Capitol riots created âan environment where a serious risk of violence was possibleâ.
The ruling was announced by the Facebook content Oversight Board today, Wednesday, who have decided that the then-presidentâs posts about the Capitol riots supported people âengaging in violenceâ.
The board said:
âThe Board found that the two posts by Mr. Trump on January 6 severely violated Facebookâs Community Standards and Instagramâs Community Guidelines.

Facebook’s oversight board on Wednesday upheld the social media company’s decision to ban former U.S. President Donald Trump from posting comments to his Facebook and Instagram accounts, a measure imposed after he posted incendiary remarks as hundreds of his supporters stormed the U.S. Capitol on January 6.
The quasi-independent panel, however, left open the possibility that Trump could eventually return to the popular website, saying it “was not appropriate for Facebook to impose the indeterminate and standardless penalty of indefinite suspension.”
The oversight group gave Facebook executives six months to re-examine the “arbitrary penalty” it imposed the day after the insurrection, when Trump urged followers to confront lawmakers as they certified Joe Biden’s election victory.
Former President Donald Trump
Facebook s independent Oversight Board on Wednesday announced it has ruled in favor of upholding the platform s suspension of former President Donald Trump s account. The Board found that the two posts by Mr. Trump on January 6 severely violated Facebook’s Community Standards and Instagram’s Community Guidelines, reported the board in their announcement.
“ We love you. You’re very special in the first post and great patriots and remember this day forever in the second post violated Facebook’s rules prohibiting praise or support of people engaged in violence, the board continued. Why it matters, reports Axios. The decision sets a global precedent for how Facebook, and potentially other social media companies, will treat political leaders around the world.
Facebook s Oversight Board upholds Trump s suspension
Trump will remain suspended on Facebook.
Facebook s Oversight Board, the independent body that reviews content moderation decisions made by the social media company, announced its long-awaited decision today in a post on its website.
The Oversight Board upheld Facebook s Jan. 7 decision to restrict former President Trump s access to his Facebook and Instagram account.
However, the Oversight Board found the indefinite suspension penalty, which is the current state of Trump s accounts, to be inappropriate. Facebookâs normal penalties include removing the violating content, imposing a time-bound period of suspension, or permanently disabling the page and account, said the Oversight Board in its decision in the case which saw more than 9,000 public comments.
