A 33-year-old man has been charged with murder for allegedly fatally stabbing his partner s father late on Christmas Day at a house west of Brisbane.

Officers were called to a house in North Ipswich just before midnight, where a 53-year-old man was found in the front yard of a home with serious stab wounds.
Detectives are investigating the death of a man at a North Ipswich property overnight.
Officers were called to Hall Street just prior to midnight, where the body of a 53-year-old man was located in the front yard of a home.
Initial investigations suggest an altercation took place between two men which resulted in one being fatally wounded.
A crime scene was established in the early hours of this morning with scenes of crime and scientific officers in attendance.
A 33-year-old man was arrested at an Edwards Street address in Woodridge at 5am and is assisting police with their inquiries.
Anyone with vision of the incident or further information is urged to contact police.

It is alleged the 33-year-old attacked Warren Toby during a domestic dispute at a Brassall home. Detectives have since confirmed the suspect was in a relationship with Mr Toby s daughter. He has been charged with one count each of murder, assault occasioning bodily harm related to domestic violence and wilful damage.
