Social media users have reacted to the suspension given to Nkechi Blessing and Lege Miami over their comments during the Baba Ijesha-rape case saga.
Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing Sunday and actor, Kehinde Adams also known as Lege Miami has been suspended by the National body of Actors, Theatre Arts, and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN).
The suspension of the two Nollywood stars; Nkechi Blessing Sunday and Lege Miami comes after some comments they made over Baba Ijesha’s rape saga. The two actors, Nkechi Blessing and Lege Miami have been dragging and insulting each other on social media after Lege Miami made a comment in respect to Baba Ijesha’s rape saga which he later came to apologize and redraw his statement after he was lambasted on social media.

The Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria, TAMPAN, has suspended actors ― Nkechi Blessing Sunday and Kehinde Adams aka Lege ― for fighting dirty on social media. In the last few weeks, both actors have been at each other’s throats over the recent arrest of their colleague, Baba Ijesha, who was accused of sexually assaulting a minor.
In a statement signed by actor, Damola Olatunji, which was posted via the Association’s Instagram page, TAMPAN asked film directors who are members of its association to desist from working with both actors with immediate effect until their suspension is lifted.

BEVERLY HILLS, April 25, (THEWILL) – The Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners Association of Nigeria (TAMPAN) says it would make sure that justice is served in the case of alleged defilement of a minor involving one of its members, Baba Ijesha.
THEWILL had reported that the actor, whose real name is Olarenwaju James, was recently arrested for allegedly assaulting a 14-year-old girl sexually from when she was seven years old.
This development has continued to spark social media debate as many Nigerians are asking for a thorough investigation into the matter and prosecution of the actor if found guilty.
