Get ready to receive your weekly dose of natural resources information via a new podcast network called Natural Resources University. Purdue Forestry and Natural Resources’ Mitch Zischke, Megan Gunn and Jarred Brooke are hosts of two of the new podcasts, Pond University and Habitat University.
Zischke, a clinical assistant professor who also contributes to Purdue Extension and Illinois-Indiana Sea Grant programming, and Gunn, who is a recruitment and outreach specialist for FNR as well as an aquatic education associate for IISG, are the hosts of Pond University. This podcast, which will cover topics such as pond habitat, fish stocking, vegetation control and pond construction, will feature conversations with aquatic scientists, landowners and pond professionals. Senate chairman briefed on proposed varsity in Balochistan

Islamabad: The Higher Education Commission (HEC) on Tuesday briefed Chairman of the Senate Muhammad Sadiq Sanjrani on the progress made in establishment of the Umer Khan Sanjrani Minerals & Natural Resources University in Nok Kundi, Chaghi area of Balochistan province.
HEC Executive Director Shaista Sohail along with senior officials called on the Senate Chairman and apprised him that PC-II of the university project had already been approved by the Central Development Working Party (CDWP), a news release said.
The HEC officials informed that services of a consultant had been hired after the tendering process for feasibility study of the construction work.
