OTTAWA – The “One and Done” Johnson and Johnson (J&J) COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic being held at Illinois Valley Community College on Wednesday will be open to walk-ins. The clinic is open from 9:00 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. and then will reopen from 1:45-5:30 p.m. Individuals must be 18 years old. If you have insurance, it’s advised to bring that with you. You will not be denied a vaccine if you do not have insurance. The LaSalle County Health Department is holding this COVID-19 Vaccination Clinic in partnership with the Illinois National Guard. OTTAWA – Positive COVID-19 cases in LaSalle County reached just over 50 residents, a number not reported since January. On Wednesday the LaSalle County Health Department reported 51 cases, but no deaths in the past four days. While the county has seen fewer deaths since the start of this year, case reports are sporadic. Earlier this week the Illinois Department of Public Health reports the COVID-19 infection rate in the state is improving for the first time in weeks. The LaSalle County Health Department will host a first dose Pfizer and Moderna vaccination clinic at Illinois Valley Community College on Friday with spaces limited.
