Auctioning off the first and sometimes final production-spec version of a popular vehicle has become a common yet highly successful method of generating cash that s often donated directly to charity. Past examples include the first 2020 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray and the last Dodge Challenger Demon and Viper, which sold for a combined $1 million. And now Barrett-Jackson has announced the first 2021 Ford Bronco and 2021 Mustang Mach 1 will be auctioned off during its Scottsdale, Arizona event scheduled for March 20-27, 2021.
Proceeds from Bronco VIN 001 will be given to the National Forest Foundation and Outward Bound. Both organizations are part of the Blue Oval s Bronco Wild Fund initiative that aims to connect people with the outdoors.
