An Irish tricolor was raised in an area of Palestine on Thursday in response to an Irish Government vote to declare Israel s actions as unlawful de facto annexation of Palestinian territory.
The Irish Government passed the Sinn Féin motion on Wednesday and condemned the ongoing forced displacement of Palestinian communities in the occupied Palestinian territory. Ireland became the first EU member state to label Israeli action in Palestine as de facto annexation by passing the motion.
The motion, which passed unanimously, drew heavy criticism from the Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs but earned enormous praise in Palestine.

Blinken attempted to apply significant pressure on Israel behind closed doors in a meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, while diplomatic relations with the Palestinian Authority, which were suspended during the Trump administration, were officially restored.

Saudi Arabia has refused permission for an Israeli airline to fly through its airspace, forcing the carrier to cancel a flight to the United Arab Emirates. The flight operated by Israir, the second-largest Israeli carrier, was held for ten hours at Ben Gurion Airport before being cancelled.
The reason for the refusal is unclear. According to Israel s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the flight was cancelled because of a technical failure .
