‘Dido and Aeneas’ Week with Mark Morris Dance Group
Cue the heartbreak, this week of dance-focused activities features on-demand screenings of the 1995 film version of Mark Morris’ ballet, set to the Purcell opera, about true and truly ill-fated love between a widowed queen and a shipwrecked prince, also featuring mischievous witches and a tragic death lamented by Cupid himself. The week also offers a live Q&A with Morris and filmmaker Barbara Willis Sweete, and “Dido Conversations” with Morris and artists involved in the ballet.
