AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - Police are looking for two men accused of invading an Akron home in broad daylight.
A 24-year-old woman was at home when two men came knocking on the door, according to a release from Akron police.
After opening the door, one of the men asked her if her husband was home. She said no.
The victim tried to shut the door after being questioned about a husband, but the suspects forced their way in, police said.
Shooting in Akron kills 1, wounds another

Police say officers were called to the area of Mercer Avenue and Stoner Street at about 5 p.m. Monday after receiving reports of shots fired. Spent shell casings were found the scene, but there were no victims, police say.
Police then received a call that two men with gunshot wounds were in a vehicle on the 600 block of Crouse Street. Officers responding to the scene gave the men medical help until paramedics arrived.
A 43-year-old man taken to Summa Akron City Hospital died of his wounds, police say. A 27-year-old man was treated at the hospital for non-life-threatening wounds. Police say the two men were shot in the area of Mercer Avenue and Stoner Street, but they have no suspects.

AKRON, Ohio A woman suffered head injuries after she was assaulted with a pan and a can during a robbery at her home, police say.
The 56-year-old woman tells police she was at her residence Monday when a relative of one of her friends knocked on the door at about 5:15 p.m. The male suspect asked the woman to make a phone call for him, police say.
The man then said the victim owed him money, leading to an argument, according to police. The woman told the suspect she didn’t have any money. The man then assaulted the woman, using a pan and a can, causing cuts on her head, police say.

CLEVELAND, Ohio (WOIO) - An Akron police detective replaced a laptop stolen in November from a paraplegic veteran.
Detective Ken Dies has been investigating the theft that happened November 12 in the 900 block of East Market Street, according to an Akron police Facebook post.
The stolen laptop belonged to a disabled veteran who relied on it for communication and entertainment.

AKRON, Ohio (WOIO) - Akron police are looking for the man who walked into a CVS Tuesday morning, gave the pharmacist a note indicating he had a gun, and demanded pills from behind the counter.
The incident happened around 5:15 a.m. Tuesday morning at the CVS on 590 East Market Street.
Akron police said after showing the pharmacist the note, the suspect handed over a bag and received pills, the amount and type of which aren’t known.
