(letter to the editor) Updated 7:30 AM; By Andrew Kass In America, having barely survived the lies and turmoil of the last election, the lesson some states have taken is to make it harder for citizens to vote. Though the only proven fraud attempts were those undertaken by the former President, that’s the bill of goods his party is trying to sell. But here’s the bigger problem: America is locked into a perpetual election cycle. We all saw 2021 campaign posters sprout the week after Election Day 2020. Presidential campaigns drag on for two years while England elects a government and prime minister in six weeks, which is more in line with common practice in the world’s democracies.
