Chopped 1962 Ford F-100 Django Unchains 1,000 HP From a Cummins Engine 11 Feb 2021, 13:05 UTC · by We’re not sure why, but there’s something about chopped and lowered pickup trucks that immediately stirs up all kinds of emotions. There are enough new such builds out there to constantly keep us on our toes, but from time to time, we like to take a trip down memory lane and remember the ones that haunted us while we were a little younger. 6 photos As part of this February’s Truck Month here on autoevolution, we talked at length about machines that are no longer under the spotlight but could easily steal the headlines should they be brought back.

1969 Chevrolet Camaro RS/SS Double Take Is Why We Miss SEMA

autoevolution 23 Jan 2021, 8:58 UTC · by We must say we really miss SEMA, the in-person variant of the show that is the highlight of the American custom car industry. 1970 Plymouth Barracuda TorC Is a 1,500 HP Lost Monster

autoevolution 19 Jan 2021, 14:59 UTC · by 14 photos Last week, we told you about a 1950 Ford F-1 that is going under the hammer in March, in the hands of Barrett-Jackson. That particular pickup, it too a heavily-modified machine, is the work of Utah-based Weaver Customs, a shop we’ve talked about before. We mentioned the F-1 because it reopened our appetite for older Weaver builds, and we decided to revisit some. We’ll start off with their TorC machine, a massively-upgraded 1970 Plymouth Barracuda that first surfaced back in 2016. The car is nothing like the stock Cudas. Propped on top of a Roadster Shop chassis, the body of the TorC retains the overall lines of the vehicle it is based on but modified by means of a rear roof chop, the leaning back of the windshield, and restyled front and rear ends.
