City officials and local health care partners met Thursday at the Wellness Center at Worcester State University, where in fewer than two weeks the operation could be administering up to 1,000 vaccines daily.
The 101,000-square-foot wellness center was completed in 2016, and is fully accessible, said Worcester State University President Barry Maloney.
The site will be available to residents statewide by appointment only, and will follow the state’s vaccine rollout guidelines and prioritization. This week began Phase 2 of the rollout, which includes residents 75 years old or older.
